ANGIE STONE GOT CLOSE TO GAYE. Angie Stone
recently released The Art of Love & War. And there is an interesting
story behind the place where she recorded the record. Stone told us she
used the say studio that the one and only Marvin Gaye recorded in.
"Every piece of equipment that Marvin ever worked on is there, the
board is there. The engineers are there who actually helped me with this
album. His private bedroom is there, I got to sleep there. All of the
equipment that he ever recorded his material on everything is in the room.
So the spirit of Marvin lives there." We're not sure if the magic of
marvin Gaye rubbed off on Stone but she has scored a number one single and
a number one album with The Art of Love & War for the first time
simultaneously in her career. And the girl is up for a GRAMMY.
Snoop
Dogg is tired of everybody hating on rappers - especially when it comes to the
way they raise their kids.
"A lot of my songs, they don't really understand the meaning of them, but
they make them feel good so they just moving to them and they grooving to them
… like when I listened to 'Lets Get it On' when I was a kid I didn't know what
'lets get it on' meant, I just loved Marvin Gaye singing and I didn't know he
was trying to get him some." Snoop Dogg's new album "Ego Trip" comes out in
February 2008. (E! Entertainment Networks)
