Fresh home insurance warnings over bonfires
This year's bonfire night could cause home insurance claims somewhere in the region of £780 million, it has been claimed.
AA has added to claims earlier in the week that fireworks and contained blazes could cause massive amounts of damage, with garden furniture in prime position to be affected.
According to the company, Britons' increasing love of all things outdoors means they spend a large amount of money on their gardens and possess more items.

Figures from the firm showed that one in five UK residents are unsure whether their
home insurance policies provide cover for garden items.
Janet Pell, head of AA Home Insurance, commented: "The garden is an increasingly central part of our living space, all year round, yet we have a worryingly cavalier attitude towards insuring the property outside our homes."
A number of other companies have issued similar warnings, with Confused.com and Cornhill Direct urging Britons to be careful. |
